Our core services in Health & Safety and HR Management and Employment Law are supported by an Indemnity Insurance. The Insurance protects the employer against the legal costs involved in defending a health & safety prosecution or employment tribunal. The employment law indemnity provides cover for any awards made by an Employment Tribunal or settlement under the auspices of ACAS.
Xact provide other insurance protections for businesses such as tax protection cover.
Outline of our Health & Safety Prosecution Defence Cover:
• Criminal prosecutions brought under any Health & Safety or Food Safety legislation
• An appeal against an Improvement Notice issued by the Health & Safety Executive or the appropriate Local Authority Environmental Health Department in respect of a breach of any Health & Safety or Food Safety legislation.

Outline of our Employment Disputes Insurance Cover core service is as follows:
All legal costs incurred by the Company in the event of:
• A dispute with an employee / ex-employee / prospective employee concerning their contract of employment or any other employment related legislation.
• Employment tribunal fees including the cost of any awards.

Tax Protection Insurance
This insurance is available to clients who have contracted with Xact Group to provide them with a Health & Safety Management System and/ or Employment Law Services.
Cover
Xact can arrange cover for fees incurred in defence of an enquiry from HMRC. The insurance will cover up to £100,000 of fees in the event of an enquiry or dispute which includes:
HMRC full enquiries
HMRC aspect enquiries
VAT disputes
PAYE disputes
NIC disputes
The insurance cover includes Appeals and Tribunals, giving you the comfort that you have adequate resources to fully defend unfair tax demands.

Your right to compensation
If you have a turnover or income of less than £1m a year, you may be eligible for compensation from the Financial Services Compensation Scheme, should the Insurer not be able to meet their obligations.
