Current Health & Safety regulations place an onerous responsibility on an employer to provide a safe environment for employees, customers and visitors. An employer and the business can be exposed to civil and criminal litigation with the potential of heavy costs and fines if an accident should occur. Most businesses do not have the time or the resources to ensure full compliance with legislation. Xact provide systems and solutions for use by businesses of any size in relation to health & safety legislation and the avoidance of potential litigation.
Outline of our Core Service:
1. A full implementation service where Xact will work with the Responsible Person(s) within the company or organisation to complete all of the:
a) Various Policy Statements
b) Risk Assessments specific to that Company or Organisation
c) Control Actions arising out of the Risk Assessments
Xact will provide the necessary training on Health & Safety issues and all of the above information will be recorded in writing and contained within a Manual provided by Xact. This will form the basis of the Company or Organisation’s Safety Management System.
2. An audit and management service where Xact will work with the Responsible person(s) within the Company or Organisation to monitor and review the control measures and the Safety Management System established. This will comprise:
a) Regular reviews of progress in implementation of control measures (off-site)
b) Further visit(s) to the Company or Organisation to audit and review the Safety Management System with the responsible person(s).
c) Additional training material, updates on legislation or any other relevant issues will be provided on a bi-monthly basis.
Our Implementation and Audit/Review Service is supported by
i The provision of employee handbooks
ii Liaison with the Health and Safety Executive or if appropriate the relevant Local Authority on any issue or problem
iii On site attendance/representation in the event of a serious accident or incident
iv An Insurance Indemnity providing the Company or Organisation with cover in the event of a Health and Safety Prosecution
All services are supported by the Provision of a 24 hour/365 day Expert Helpline. Our advisors have access to your Safety Management System and the action plan and control measures recorded and are able to give specific assistance relevant to the Company or Organisation.
