 The Sunday Telegraph has reported that employment tribunal awards for unfair dismissal, equal pay, religious belief and sexual orientation discrimination grew by £7 million in the year 2006-7. The figures also indicate that sex discrimination claims doubled between 2004/5 and 2006/7 to 28,153.  Equal pay claims more than doubled from 17,000 to 44,000.
