The new weekly rates for Statutory Maternity, Adoption and Paternity Pay have been announced. These come into effect for payments starting on or after 1 April 2007.
- Statutory Maternity Pay – the first 6 weeks will be paid at the rate of 90% of the average weekly earning and the remaining weeks at the lower of 90% of the average weekly earnings or £112.75 (previously £108.85)
- Statutory Adoption Pay – the lower of 90% of the average weekly earnings or £112.75 (previously £108.85)
- Statutory Paternity Pay - the lower of 90% of the average weekly earnings or £112.75 (previously £108.85)
In addition, a new rate of Statutory Sick Pay will come into force on 6 April 2007. The new rate will be £72.55 (previously £70.05). |
