The survey of 4000 people showed that 22% of workers admit that they “regularly fiddle their company expense claims”. It was claimed that adult films at hotels, alcohol and clothes were common claims, while some of the more unusual included, neutering a cat, a Caribbean cruise and a pregnancy test kit.
On average people get nearly £15 per claim, however, only 4% of those questioned admit that they have been caught out.
Guy Parsons, Chief Operating Officer at Travelodge said “Our research certainly highlights some outrageous flouting of expense claiming policies”. |
