Although formed only two years ago, the Department for Business Enterprise and Regulatory Reform which replaced the Department of Trade and Industry, is itself to be replaced by the new Department for Innovation Universities and Skills.
According to the Government’s press release on the subject the objective of the department is to “To build Britain’s capabilities to compete in the global economy”.
