| In another case we were instructed by a female who alleged that she was subjected to significant sexual harassment by her male employer, over a considerable period of time.
Our client alleged that her boss frequently asked her for dates, sent her suggestive messages and telephone calls. She consistently turned him down. If anything that appeared to encourage the perpetrator and the harassment got worse.
When she complained about it further, she was subject to disciplinary action and demoted. At that point she consulted us, resigned claiming constructive dismissal and sexual harassment.
On the morning of the tribunal the employer capitulated completely and our client received a five-figure sum in settlement, without having to go through the ordeal of giving evidence and proving her case. |
